We have been really slow with progress (too much work at the office), so this design is kind of late. However, we are thinking in design challenges: how to build that robot
We tried to make the model and we're having some issues with the gears underneath. Any chance you could post a few more pictures of it from the underside? We got it to look the same, but it's not walking as it should. Thanks!!!
The gears are really tricky since you need to use the cams (grey ovals) for the motion of the head. You need a pulley from the gear box (the transparent box). The second pulley connects to the sets of cams. It is really tricky, even from the video!
hello, I have a class where I teach robotics. Last June my children 8-11 years managed to make the T-Rex and present a contest where we got the highest score !! It is difficult to make but patience is performed. They took 4 classes to do so, a greeting
Hello, I would like to know when are you going to post the building instructions for the T-Rex it's awesome!!!

DeleteWhen are the instructions for this one out? Thank you
ReplyDeleteHi Thomas, we are running behind in our instructions, but in the meantime this one is a good challenge for reverse engineering
DeleteHello, maybe now you know whwn the instructions will be ?
ReplyDeleteWe are still well behind with our work, trying to find how it works is more fun that way!
DeleteHi guys... guess what? I'm trying to make this T-Rex and if I have success i send my photos... Nice weekend!!
ReplyDeleteI bet your photos may be posted first than the instructions that are well behind!

DeleteThe problem that i have is how connect the head with the body, it's 90% finish but I have that little issue.

I bet you need to connect the cams (grey ovals) for this (and the pulley to get the motion form the motor), quite tricky!
Deleteany chance you can give us a photo on how to connect the cams? for the head and legs movements
