Today we continue with a series of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about the WeDo set we want to share. Today we are discussing some software questions. Most of the answers are based on an official LEGO document with a really long name (click here for the original). Software Questions How do I type in the text boxes? Once you drag the cursor over the textbox, it will turn into a “T”, you can type without clicking  What is the maximum amount of characters I can enter in the text box and bubble?  A maximum of 100 characters (no words, letters, numbers and spaces) Why does the cursor turn to a “T” over the text box? This means you can type on it Can I name my project? Yes, by moving the cursor to the upper right hand corner over the word project until you see the cursor changing to “T”. If you do not change it, the name will be project and a number How to do I STOP a running program? Click the red square on the bottom right hand side of the screen or hit the “Esc” key How do I CLOSE the program down? Clicking on the red square with “X” button on the top right How do I save my projects and where are they located? They are automatically saved with the name shown in the top right corner and can be found at: My Documents/LEGO creations/WeDo/projects My Sound #1 no longer plays or plays a different sound. What happened?  If you record a custom sound it overwrites sound #1 and gets saved in the current project (only one custom sound per project). If you open a new project the default sounds will come back How do I add custom backgrounds and sounds? The default folder for custom backgrounds and sounds is located in : PC: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\LEGO Creations\WeDo\Backgrounds or C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\LEGO Creations\WeDo\Sounds Mac OS: /Users/Shared/LEGO Creations/WeDo/Backgrounds or  /Users/Shared/LEGO Creations/WeDo/Sounds The file for backgrounds should be JPG and for sounds files it should be WAV What languages is the LEGO Education WeDo™ Software available in? Languages available include English, Spanish and Portuguese. How can we install WeDo on a system without a CD drive? Copy the contents of the CD to a USB stick or a Network drive, navigate to the WeDo folder and double click the “LEGOEducationWeDo.exe” file; then follow the on screen instructions.	Preguntas del Programa ¿Cómo puedo escribir en los cuadros de texto? Si se arrastra el cursors sobre el cuadro de texto se convertirá en una “T”, se puede escribir sin hacer clic ¿Cuál es la cantidad máxima de caracteres que puede introducir en el cuadro de texto y de la burbuja? Un máximo de 100 caractéres (no palabras, letras, números y espacios) ¿Por qué el cambio del cursor para una “T” sobre el cuadro de texto? Significa que se puede escribir allí  (Teclear) ¿Puedo nombrar a mi proyecto? Si, moviendo el cursor en la esquina superior derecha en la palabra proyecto hasta que el cursor cambia a “T”. Si no se cambia el nombre, se llamará proyecto más un número ¿Cómo hago para parar un programa que se ejecuta? Haciendo clic en el cuadrado rojo al fondo del lado derecho del monitor o con la tecla “Esc” ¿Cómo puedo cerrar el programa? Haciendo clic en el botón cuadrado rojo con la “X” en la esquina superior derecha ¿Cómo puedo guardar mis proyectos y dónde están ubicados? Son salvados de forma automática con el nombre que aparece en la esquina superior derecho y pueden ser encontrados en: Mis Documentos/LEGO creations/WeDo/proyectos Mi Sonido # 1 ya no reproduce o suena un sonido diferente. ¿Que pasó? Cuando se graba un sonido personalizado se reescribe el Sonido #1 y queda salvado en el proyecto actual (solo one sonido personalizado por proyecto). Si se abre un proyecto nuevo regresan los sonidos por defecto ¿Cómo puedo añadir fondos y sonidos personalizados? La localización por defecto para fondos y sonidos es: PC: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documentos\LEGO Creations\WeDo\Backgrounds o C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\LEGO Creations\WeDo\Sounds Mac OS: /Users/Shared/LEGO Creations/WeDo/Backgrounds o /Users/Shared/LEGO Creations/WeDo/Sounds El archivo para fondos debería ser y para los sonidos debería ser WAV ¿En qué idiomas está el software de LEGO Education WeDo™ disponible? Está disponible en inglés, español y portugués ¿Cómo podemos instalar WeDo en un sistema sin una unidad de CD? Copiar el contenido del CD en una memoria USB o en un disco de red, navegar al folder de WeDo y hacer doble clic en el archivo “LEGOEducationWeDo.exe”, luego seguir kas instrucciones en pantalla.
